2012 State Convention
Join us for our annual state convention on December 3rd.
The business meeting is free and starts at 3pm, followed by a dinner social at 5pm. We're meeting at Chen Yang Li in Bedford.
All the presidential campaigns have been invited, the candidates that are unable to make may be sending representatives to advocate for their case. We will have a forum among those that attend to help us evaluate the campaigns and pledge some early support. We will be pledging at least one vote for the nominating convention in May. The more candidates who make it, the more votes we will pledge.
As always with our convention we'll have officer elections (chair, vice chairs and alternates, treasurer and secretary), standing committee elections (membership and judiciary) as well as constitutional amendment ratification, resolutions, and a review of the year that has been. Plus other news, including an update on our ballot access drive for 2012.
If you'd like to be more involved in the decisions the LPNH makes, guide the activism we do, or simply want to develop your own leadership and organizational skills, then becoming an officer in the party is a great way to do that.
If you have text for a resolution you'd like the convention to consider, please send it to me in advance so I can place it on the agenda.
Right now we are looking at hosting a panel and discussion about getting the message of liberty out to the people through the arts and media. And showcasing some Hospers memorabilia which was recently discovered by Art Ketchen, one of the LPNH's founding members.
The business meeting is free and all members are invited to attend. We also hope you will stay for dinner and socializing afterward.
Thanks, and see you on Saturday.
UPDATE: Anyone who attends the convention may take advantage of a special membership offer: two years for only $40, which is a $10 savings of the normal membership dues.
