Libertarians File for Office

The filing period for the general election ended on June 11th. Libertarian candidates from governor to state representative have filed their declarations and are now in the final two months of petitioning to get on the ballot.

As you may be aware, the national LP convention is during the Memorial Day weekend in St. Louis. It promises to be a very dynamic event, from competitive races for all the LNC officer positions, to new bylaws, new platform planks, and a general debate on the direction for the Party. The contest for chairman is turning out to be more heated than most of our presidential nominations (as a quick search for video of the debates will show).

New Hampshire will of course be represented, with many of our candidates and board members attending to represent liberty from the Granite State. We still have a few open places in our delegation, if any of our members or supporters would like to join us. The only requirement is that you be a current member in either the national or state party.

Brendan Kelly re-elected selectman in Seabrook

The Libertarian Party of New Hampshire congratulates Brendan Kelly of Seabrook on his re-election as Selectman. Brendan is a past chair of the LPNH and has been fighting for liberty for many years.

In a statement to the press and his fellow citizens of Seabrook, Brendan said, "First and foremost 'Thank You' to the people of Seabrook who have accepted me and my ideas as I knew they would. That's why I'm here, as I believe the people of this town are the salt of the earth and the type of people you can count on when the going gets rough. The going is about to get very rough and I plan on standing up for and along side my friends and neighbors.
