Reporting on our pending lawsuit is WMUR.  WMUR also comments on our conversation with the Emergency Election Committee on Tuesday (5/12)’s call.

Follow up to this, John DiStasio reached out to Governor Sununu for comment:

“Gov Chris Sununu, asked if he will relax the in-person petition requirements for independents and third parties to gain access, with the Libertarian Party threatening to go to federal court:

“We’re really not involved with that at all,” Sununu said.  “If they choose to do that it’s fine.”

Will you relax the requirement?

“No. I’m really not even looking at it.  So, no, we’re not looking at relaxing the requirement.  There could even be a conflict of interest issue there.  Because it would be looking at making a judgement call on somebody that may be potentially running against me in the future.  I don’t want to make a judgement call on that.

If they have to take it to court, take it to court or deal with somebody else.  But I don’t think it’s appropriate for us to opine on that at this time.”
